Risers

In triathlon, the cockpit, i.e. the front structure of the handlebars on which you lie in the aero position during competition, is one of the most important components of all. Your position on the bike is usually optimised during a bike fitting in order to achieve the best possible balance between comfort, performance and aerodynamics. This usually involves making changes to the height of the trailers or a BTA (between the arms) bottle cage. These are achieved by using adapters, i.e. risers. They are usually made of aluminium or plastic and allow you to make very fine adjustments to your position and/or the height of your bottles or hydration Systems.
